For his birthday party this year, Jackson wanted to recreate Star Wars Weekend. He was very particular about what he wanted and who he wanted to come. He even requested that two of his guests (Tucker and Addie) come in costume!
It turned out to be a fun, fun night. He kept the guest list small and all the kids enjoyed playing Star Wars!

Star Wars Weekend
5th Birthday Party! |

Jackson requested that Tucker and Addie come dressed as Anakin and Princess Leia
Philip was asked to dress as R2-D2 and Jackson was a Storm Trooper.
For the rest of the guests, I made little Jedi robes. They turned out really cute - especially on Jedi Jack! |

Jackson picked out his cake at Publix |

In addition to the Jedi Robes, Wesley and I made light sabers for the kids.
Thanks to SKY VBS, Kate had a plethora of pool noodles she gave us for the project! |

We kept dinner simple - pizza, fruit and chips! |

Justin, Jackson, and Tucker |
|
Addie and Hunter |
After dinner, we had the "Star Wars Weekend" Show. Wesley played the Master Jedi and taught the kids how to fight off Darth Vader. It was a hoot watching the kids prepare and then watching their faces as Darth Vader (aka Todd!) walked into the room!

Philip didn't quite understand which side of his light saber to use for the fight! |

Sam
Darth Vader was a hit with some of the kids and a scary scary part of the party for others! Philip was NOT a fan! In fact, he was still scared after the party was over. He wouldn't go upstairs (where Darth Vader came from) until we assured him that Darth Vader had gone home!
CAKE TIME!
Happy Birthday to You!
Someone really liked the cake!
