Globe Trottin'

Once again, Wesley packed up and headed off to the other side of the world! It is amazing how many places he has had the opportunity to visit since he started working with the Y. This time, he ventured to Jerusalem for a two-week tour around the Israel YMCAs. He also was able to see the sights throughout the Holy Lands.

His plane left on Wednesday night and Thursday morning, the boys and I were off to Nashville. We stayed for a week before heading home for potty training.

Here is his group in Jerusalem
10 teens and 4 adults

One day Jackson was overjoyed when he received a text from Wesley of the above picture with a note: Check out the yellow Jerusalem trash truck..and it has TWO people on the back!!

While in Nashville, we once again enjoyed visiting friends and family. We started off the visit with lunch with Cristal and her boys. They were in town for Impact with their new youth group (yay! They are now in Montgomery, AL! Only 3.5 hours away!!!) It was so nice to catch up with Cristal and to let our boys play.

Jackson enjoyed some male-bonding at Waffle House with Pop Pop, Joshua, Caleb and Uncle Tim (taking the picture)

Erin and I threw a baby shower for Abigail and baby Amelia. I thought it was a wonderful night. We had a great turnout, fabulous food, and Amelia got a lot of beautiful things!

Saturday night, Emily and Ryan invited us to a 4th of July festival at their church. Due to the rain they had to move the concert indoors, but it still was very nice and patriotic. Jackson loved seeing the instruments of the band..now the fireworks were a different story. He wasn’t a fan of them and we watched from inside the church.

Jackson and Mommy

After the fireworks, Pop Pop put Jackson down. My mom and I found them later crashed together. I guess my dad feel asleep first because Jackson ended up with the remote control!

Susan and I got the kids together Monday to swim and then Wednesday to bowl. There is a cute little place by their house that has mini-bowl which is perfect for Rebekah and Jackson’s age. Joshua and Caleb enjoyed it as well.
