Christmas Day!

After surviving my bout with the stomach flu, Wesley had his turn. It knocked him down for most of Christmas Eve night and into Christmas morning so we took it easy and ended up taking lots of breaks as we enjoyed opening presents all day long!

First things first ….we had one excited little boy and one wide-eyed new comer who enjoyed seeing what Santa brought:

Jackson

Philip

For the past two years we have enjoyed family time on Christmas in Cumming. Thanks to the Internet we also get to celebrate with our extended families.

Early Christmas morning, we “Skyped” my parents and they watched as Jackson and Philip opened some presents.

My dad has made each of the grandkids a rocking chair for their first Christmas. Philip opened his this year and really enjoyed it!

Jackson ran and got his to show us that they now had matching chairs!

In the afternoon, we celebrated with the entire crew - Susan’s family, Emily and Ryan, Uncle Melvin, Mimi, Papa, Mom and Dad - at my parents’ house. The highlight was the drum performance Jackson put on for them!

That evening, we were able to have some “Face Time” with the Benders in Knoxville thanks to Macey’s new computer.

Here are some more pictures of us enjoying a relaxing, fun filled day:
